About the Speaker
Pam Frederick is the owner, editor and publisher of the Tribeca Citizen, a hyperlocal news website dedicated to the way-downtown of New York City. She has taught journalism to both graduate students (Columbia Journalism School) and undergrads (City University of New York - Hunter College) and in both cases using real publications as teaching tools, including a student newspaper at Hunter and community newspapers in the South Bronx. She was formerly the editor of The Riverdale Press in the Bronx and got her education at Columbia Journalism School and Middlebury College. She serves as a director of Hudson River Park Trust and as a board member of the Friends of Washington Market Park. She lives in Tribeca with her husband and three children.
